A Finder plug-in in the form of an automator action that provides you with a contextual menu to create a Disk Image from the file(s) or folder(s) selected.

In operation it is just like using the "Create Archive..." item already in the Finder except that it produces a disk image and then archives the disk image.

It now returns a reference to the newly creates .zip file, in the form of {"Path:To:File.zip"} - an AppleScript file specification. This allows subsequent Actions can use the file as input.

The action is written in AppleScript so feel free to expolore the code and customize for your needs.

It now successfully creates a .zip file from the .dmg, and then cleans up by deleting the temporary .dmg file.

The script appears to work fine, however, it seem silly to make a dmg and then zip it instead of simply creating a compressed dmg.
