| The Replace Date Placeholders action for use with Mac OS X Tiger's Automator application enables users to specify URLs with placeholders for date values that are replaced when the workflow is run. This functionality allows you to create workflows to regularly deal with date-based Internet content. For example, if a site tags daily images with year, month, and day you can use the Replace Date Placeholders action to provide the correct values for the most recent publishing of the image. By specifying the days of the week that new content is published you tell the action what dates it should provide. For example, if a site updates only on monday, wednesday, and friday you simply select those days and deselect other days of the week. When the action is run in a workflow the most recent monday, wednesday, or friday date will be used to replace the date placeholders. | ||
